An AI formula assistant that writes, fixes and explains the formulas behind your calculated columns.
Type "revenue minus cost" and get the formula. When a formula has a mistake, let Klayara AI correct it. When you inherit one you do not understand, have it explained in plain words.

What is an AI formula generator?
An AI formula generator writes a formula from a plain-language description, such as "revenue minus cost as a percentage of revenue". Klayara's formula assistant does three jobs for calculated columns: Write with AI drafts a formula from your words, Fix with AI corrects one with a mistake, and Explain this formula describes any formula in plain words. You review the draft before saving.
Write with AI: a formula from a description
Write with AI turns a calculation you can describe into a formula you can use. In a calculated column, type what you want, such as "revenue minus cost", "days between invoice date and payment date" or "flag orders over 500 as large", and Klayara AI drafts the formula using your own column names.
The draft appears in the formula box for you to read and adjust. It is checked as you type by the same rules as a formula you write yourself, with any error explained in plain words, and nothing is saved until you save the column.
Fix with AI: correct a formula with a mistake
Fix with AI corrects a formula that does not work. When the formula check finds a mistake, such as a missing bracket, a misspelt column or a function given the wrong kind of value, press Fix with AI and Klayara AI proposes a corrected version for you to review.
This is the formula assistant most people use first, because the hardest part of a formula is usually the last small mistake, not the idea behind it.
Explain this formula: plain words for any formula
Explain this formula describes what a formula does in plain words. It helps when you inherit a workbook-style calculation from a colleague, review a metric before it goes on the board pack, or want to check that "margin" really means what you think it means.
- Inherited formulas: understand a calculation someone else wrote
- Reviews: check a metric before it is shared
- Learning: see how a formula is built from the 138 functions
A formula assistant for calculated columns, not a black box
The formula assistant works with Klayara's 138 formula functions, which read the way a spreadsheet does: arithmetic, text, dates, conditions and running totals. What it writes is an ordinary formula you can read, so a calculated column made with AI is defined once and reused by every dashboard, report and AI answer like any other.
The assistant sees table and column names, labels and types, never the data in your tables. Connection details and passwords never go to the AI, and a request that contains a typed password is refused.
Plans and credits
The formula assistant is part of Klayara AI, on the Growth and Enterprise plans. It runs only when you click Write with AI, Fix with AI or Explain this formula: nothing runs on its own, on page load, on save or on a schedule. Each button shows its cost before you press it, usually 1 credit, and you are charged only when the AI produced an answer. The formula check itself is free on every plan.
From first click to everyday use.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly — a person answers.
Can AI write formulas for calculated columns?
Yes. In Klayara, Write with AI turns a description such as "revenue minus cost" into a formula that uses your own column names. You review the draft, the formula check confirms it works, and nothing is saved until you save the column.
What does Fix with AI do?
When the formula check finds a mistake, Fix with AI proposes a corrected formula for you to review, for example fixing a misspelt column name or a missing bracket. The original stays until you accept the fix and save.
Can it explain a formula someone else wrote?
Yes. Explain this formula describes what any formula does in plain words, which helps when you inherit a calculation, review a metric before it is shared, or learn how the 138 functions fit together.
Does the formula assistant read my data?
No. It sees table and column names, labels and types, never the data in your tables. Connection details and passwords never go to the AI, and a request containing a typed password is refused.
How much does it cost to use?
Usually 1 credit per request, shown on the button before you click, and charged only when the AI produced an answer. It runs only when you click. The formula check that spots mistakes as you type is free on every plan.
Which plan includes the formula assistant?
The formula assistant is part of Klayara AI, on the Growth and Enterprise plans. Formulas and calculated columns themselves, with all 138 functions and the as-you-type check, are on every plan, including Starter.
Is a formula written with AI different from one written by hand?
No. It is an ordinary formula you can read and edit, checked by the same rules, and once saved it is reused by every dashboard, report and AI answer in the workspace like any other calculated column.
Where can I get help learning formulas?
Ask the help assistant inside Klayara how to do something, such as "how do I calculate year to date?", and get step-by-step help in the product. Explain this formula then shows how any existing formula is built.
See it on your own data.
