Embedded analytics

Embedded analytics puts dashboards and charts inside your own product or customer portal, so your customers see their data without opening a separate BI tool.

Embedded analytics means placing dashboards, charts and reports inside software your users already open — a customer portal, a partner site, an internal app — rather than sending them to a separate analytics product. To the person using it, the charts look like part of your product. Underneath, a BI tool builds and serves them, applying permissions so each customer sees only their own data.

It matters when your customers are asking for reporting and building it from scratch would take a product team a year. A logistics company gives each shipper a portal page with on-time performance, volumes and exceptions. A software company adds a usage dashboard to its own app. A franchise head office shows each franchisee their sales against the network. In each case the reporting becomes a feature of the business, built in weeks rather than quarters.

The confusion is between embedding a picture and embedding the product. A static chart image dropped into a page is not embedded analytics; the useful version is interactive — filters, drill-down, date ranges — and secured per viewer, so customer A cannot alter a link and see customer B. Rule of thumb: if the embedded view cannot enforce row-level rules and match your product’s look, it will not survive contact with real customers.

In Klayara, any dashboard can be embedded in your product with your branding, each viewer restricted to their own rows and columns, and the same permissions carrying into downloads and AI answers. See embedded analytics.
