An executive dashboard is the page a CEO, owner or managing director opens to see the whole business at once. It typically holds revenue against plan, gross margin, cash in the bank, customers gained and lost, and one number for the biggest current risk — overdue receivables, stock cover, order backlog. Each figure links to the department dashboard behind it.
It matters because leaders otherwise assemble the picture from six reports, each from a different team, each a little out of date. A single page that every department feeds from the same definitions turns the leadership meeting from reconciling numbers into deciding what to do about them.
A worked example: the executive dashboard of a three-company group in the Gulf shows group revenue in one currency, margin by company, cash across all bank accounts, receivables over 90 days and headcount. The chairman sees all three companies; each company’s general manager opens the same link and sees only theirs. It arrives every Sunday morning as a PDF on WhatsApp before the weekly meeting. Rule of thumb: build the executive page first — it forces the definitions every other dashboard will inherit.
In Klayara, start from the executive overview template, combine several companies and currencies, and let row permissions decide who sees which entity. Klayara AI can summarize the page in plain words or explain why a figure changed. See Klayara for executives.
