What are automated dashboard insights?
Automated dashboard insights are short facts a BI tool works out for you, such as the biggest change, the top movers and unusual values. In Klayara these facts appear on a dashboard for free, without AI. Summarize this dashboard and Why did this change? then use Klayara AI, on your click, to explain the numbers in plain language within your permissions.
Automated insights: the facts, worked out for free
Automated insights save the first five minutes of every dashboard review. Klayara works out the biggest change, the top movers and any unusual values from the figures on the dashboard, and shows them as short facts beside the charts.
These facts are calculated from your data, not written by AI, so they use no credits and appear without anyone pressing a button. They are the starting point: where the numbers moved, and by how much.
- Biggest change: the figure that moved most since the last period
- Top movers: the products, regions or customers that rose or fell most
- Unusual values: figures that stand out from the usual pattern
An AI dashboard summary in one click
Summarize this dashboard turns a page of charts into a short plain-language summary. Press it before a meeting, and Klayara AI writes what the dashboard says this period: what went up, what went down and what stands out, in sentences anyone can read.
It suits the reader who opens a dashboard once a week and wants the story, not the tour, and the manager who pastes a summary into the weekly update.
Why did this change? Explaining KPI changes
Why did this change? explains a movement in a KPI or chart. Press it on a figure that rose or fell and Klayara AI looks at what drove the change, such as which regions, products or customers account for most of it, and explains it in plain words.
This is AI data analysis for the question every review starts with. The answer points you at the part of the business to look at next, and the charts are there to check it against.
Within the viewer's permissions, on your click
Insights use totals that are already filtered by the permissions of the person viewing. A branch manager's summary covers their branch only, and a masked column stays masked, so a summary can never reveal more than the dashboard does.
Klayara AI is on the Growth and Enterprise plans. Summarize this dashboard and Why did this change? run only when you click: nothing runs on page load, on save or on a schedule. The button shows its cost first, usually 1 credit, and you are charged only when the AI produced an answer. The automatic facts are free.

What is an AI dashboard summary?
An AI dashboard summary is a short plain-language description of what a dashboard shows this period: what went up, what went down and what stands out. In Klayara, press Summarize this dashboard and Klayara AI writes it, within your permissions.
How does Klayara explain changes in KPIs?
Press Why did this change? on a figure that rose or fell, and Klayara AI explains what drove it, such as which regions, products or customers account for most of the change, in plain words you can check against the charts.
Are the automatic insights AI?
No. The biggest change, top movers and unusual values are worked out from your data without AI and use no credits. Only Summarize this dashboard and Why did this change? use Klayara AI, and only when you click.
Can a summary show data I am not allowed to see?
No. Insights use totals already filtered by the viewer's permissions, so row rules and column masking apply, and a summary can never reveal more than the dashboard shows that person.
Do insights run on a schedule or when the dashboard opens?
The AI never does. Summarize this dashboard and Why did this change? run only when someone clicks, so credits are never spent without a click. The free automatic facts appear on their own because they use no AI.
How many credits does a summary use?
Usually 1 credit, shown on the button before you click; a deeper explanation uses more, never more than 10. You are charged only when the AI produced an answer, and the credits used show under every answer.
Which plan includes dashboard insights?
Dashboard insights are part of Klayara AI, on the Growth and Enterprise plans. Admins can switch the AI off entirely, and on Enterprise you can use your own AI provider or a private model on request.
