What is an AI SQL assistant?
An AI SQL assistant writes, fixes and explains database queries from plain language, often called text to SQL. In Klayara it helps people who build tables from their own query: Write with AI drafts the query from a sentence, Fix with AI or Fix and speed up repairs a failed or heavy one beside yours, and Explain this query says what it does in plain words.
Text to SQL: Write with AI
Text to SQL turns a sentence into a database query. When you build a table from your own query, type what you want, such as "total sales per month" or "customers with no order in 90 days", press Write with AI, and Klayara AI drafts the query from your table and column names. If it is not what you wanted, Undo restores what you had.
This is for the people who already write queries and want a faster first draft, and for the ones learning. Everyone else builds charts without writing any query at all.
An AI query fixer: Fix with AI and Fix and speed up
The query assistant repairs a query that failed or would run slowly. When a query fails, Fix with AI proposes a corrected version. When the query check flags a query as heavy, Fix and speed up proposes a lighter one that returns the same answer.
Either way the suggestion is shown side by side with your own query, so you can see exactly what changed, and nothing changes until you press Use this. Explain this query describes what any query does in plain words, which helps when you inherit one from a colleague.
Query check: free, on every plan, before you save
The query check rates every custom query after you preview it: fine, may be slow, or too heavy to save. It runs automatically, uses no AI and costs nothing, and it is on every plan, including Starter.
Each finding comes with a one-line fix in plain words, such as "add a date filter". A query rated too heavy cannot be saved, so an expensive query never reaches a dashboard where hundreds of people would run it.
Slow dashboard? Speed-up tips show what to change
Speed-up tips tell you how to make a slow dashboard fast. When charts on a dashboard were slow in the last 14 days, a Speed up button appears in the dashboard toolbar with the number of tips, grouped by table. Each table's Performance tab lists them too. Like the query check, the tips are free, automatic and on every plan.
Klayara never changes your own database; your sources stay read-only. Where a tip is for your database, it is a ready-to-copy suggestion your IT team can apply themselves.

Explain in plain words: tips and errors explained
Explain in plain words puts a speed tip, or the reason a chart could not load, into plain language with what to do next. It is part of Klayara AI on Growth and Enterprise and runs only when you click it, usually for 1 credit.
Like the other builder helpers, the query assistant sees table and column names, labels and types, never the data in your tables. Connection details and passwords never go to the AI, a request containing a typed password is refused, and every draft is checked by the same rules as your own query.
